ABOUT

Lauren Conrad has a track record of maximizing the potential of programs. She combines 15+ years of experience in nonprofit program leadership with an education in clinical social work to create holistic solutions with anti-poverty organizations.
 
Lauren is skilled in asking questions that lead to the right conversation, understanding the whole picture, and creating sustainable solutions. As a facilitator, Lauren generates environments that promote vulnerability, honesty, and efficiency.  By creating structure and psychological safety, she keeps conversations on track while ensuring that all voices are heard. 
 
Lauren has directed programs and advancement at multiple organizations, with focus areas ranging from housing to workforce and economic development to mental health services. Her professional path has included community organizing and activation efforts in Central America, after school program work in Chicago, and rural poverty reduction across the state of Wyoming. Lauren is glad to be back in her home state of Michigan as a proud Grand Rapids resident, and is near completion of a master’s in social work from Grand Valley State University.
